REVIEW

Okay, it’s been ages since I read a book. I don’t know if my standards got higher but this is a ok book for me not good yet also not bad at the same time. The book talked about Jenn a CEO with her own movie studio who was instantly attracted to one of the new star’s manager. Which later they’ll work together, and with a lingering ex behind causing drama and trouble.

Lets talk about the things I like first. I like that the author tries to portray Jenn as a strong and independent women as she created her own company and she makes decisions for herself and tries to solve problems head on. (who runs the world. girls!) As well as Ryan, even if he is confident and incredibly hot (according to the book) he respected Jenn’s decisions and treated her as her equal!

On the other hand, one of the main issues for me is that I couldn’t feel the chemistry between them. I wouldn’t go awwww or yessss when I read scenes which is supposed to be the thrill in reading romance books for me. I feel like at some point I thought that Jenn would be more strong and firm in her decision making like WHY you know this will go badly. (like why did you hire your asshole ex EXCUSE ME) I guess I’m just easily irritated by non-effective decision making.

That’s about all I have to say. I’d say it definitely has its pros and cons, even I might not like it feverishly. It might be THE book for you, you never know. If you do have the time for a pretty straight forward contemporary romance with a lighter note, do keep give it a chance!
